The best hotel I have ever stayed in! What character this lovely hotel has. The style and decor is in keeping with what it would have been in the 16c. I can confirm that the rumours are true and Aitkin haunts the room named after him, but he is friendly and will make you feel welcome. The homemade granola is amazing. Please make sure you try it. Full English breakfast with granary bread was delicious too. Made with local produce I believe. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again and I thoroughly recommend it.

We came for a short break and had the most wonderful time, my fiancé , toddler, parents and our cocker spaniel dog. The hotel is superb with huge amounts of character. The owners Doris and CJ were amazing, and all the staff were very friendly . They were very attentive to our every needs, the room was spotless, we had the Family Deluxe suite at the top of the house, really lovely room. The honest bar downstairs in the bar was just great it was stocked with every possible drink you can imagine. The breakfast was 10/10 we could not fault a thing. If we could give me than 5 stars we would. Can’t wait to book our next Visit Verity & Family XXXX

Cutest and most charming place you will ever stay. The breakfast and honesty bar were a real highlight - not just for the quality of the food/drink but the beautifully historic and furnished rooms they are in. You will not regret staying here or visiting Rye, it was one of the best vacations I've ever had (even in Winter).

A UK escape that was out of this world. Felt like a trip back in time to the sleepy town of Rye. Jeake’s House was impeccable - the rooms, the honesty bar, the service. What made it next level was the breakfast. As you can see from the pictures it was honestly 11 out of 10. Do not miss out on these if you stay, especially the smoked salmon. Dream land.

We were extremely lucky to be accommodated in this quirky well established hotel in the beautiful Maiden St in historical Rye. The staff were utterly charming and helped commence the day in the breakfast room with a most extensive range of deliciously cooked choice of foods. The bedrooms were immaculate and all are individual with personal touches. We had a top double which was great for exercising our limbs as the staircase can be a bit tricky to navigate which is our only words of caution. The owners and staff are delightful, cheery but in a natural, unenforced way. Highly recommend

Just got back from a lovely weekend down in Rye and made even better by all the staff at Jeakes House. Lisa gave us a very warm welcome, settled us in and told us about the local area and the options available for food and drink. Owners Doris and Chris were very friendly and also gave great recommendations about things to see and do in the local area. Rooms was very nice and had everything you wanted so no issues and requesting to borrow an iron on each evening was no drama at all. The honesty bar was a lovely touch and made use of that on one night, it was fully stocked with loads of different options and a nice setting to get to meet and chat to other people staying at the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with lots to choose from. I had Smoked Haddock the 1st morning and Eggs Royale the 2nd and both were very good and filling. Service throughout Breakfast by the staff was first class. The hotel and the local area is perfect for a couple wanting to get away for some relaxation, to stroll about from shop to shop and for great food and drink. Would highly recommend.

Had a great weekend stay at Jeakes! The room was very cosy and clean and nice amenities like tea, hot chocolate, snacks etc. The staff were very kind and discrete. The breakfast room felt like a scene from Bridgerton and in tone with everything in Rye, the food was nice and the included breakfast was not a buffet, which was nice. The menu was inclusive and had many nice options. 10/10 would stay again, thank you for running such a wonderful place.

I tend to look at reviews before booking so not to be disappointed if problems occur. Although this had great reviews, my expectations were well exceeded as it is hard to appreciate how good this is until you have stayed here. From the welcoming staff, the delicious and fabulous breakfast it is just great. The hotel is very old as many of the buildings in Rye but beautifully furnished in a traditional way. it is very quaint and quirky. We loved it all. There is a private cr park close by which is so useful. The owners Chris and Doris were so welcoming having taken over early 25 after being past guests. Very highly recommended and if we return to Rye it will be to stay here again. Thank you to the owners and all the staff for lovely stay. PS I would just add if you cannot manage stairs it is not for you as there is no lift.
